Have you desired to take a hot air balloon ride? Well, your prayers have been answered. Here’s a great way to get a great view of the city known as Vegas. Now, I thought about doing this one time before but decided against even thought I consider myself somewhat of a daredevil.
Now believe it or not I wouldn’t hot air balloon but I will definitely check out the High Roller Observation Wheel. It stands 550 ft tall & gives you a 360 degree of Vegas. Here’s a Lil tip for ya. If you time it just right you can get a great view of the water fountain show @ the Bellagio.
I don’t have to remind you that it’s hot in Vegas so cooling down at Wet N Wild Water park may sound like a great idea. There is something for everyone with adult pools, rides for those fussy teenagers & a kiddie pool just for the little ones.
Now that your all cooled off how does hanging out at the largest indoor theme park work for ya. Adventure Dome inside Circus Circus hotel is just the spot. It’s the only park that offers a double loop, double corkscrew roller coaster the El Loco.
Where my chocolate lovers at? Come hangout at Hershey’s Chocolate World inside NY NY hotel. I’m sure the aroma itself will whisk you in. You can get all your usual treats and then some. You will also find two Statues of Liberty one made completely made out of chocolate and the other out of Twizzlers and if that’s not enough how bout a lamp made out of peanut butter cups.
Your next adventure on your travel extravaganza is Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. I’ve been to the one in New York twice & I love it. So, while your here check it out & take some really cool pics with some of your favorite stars.
Do I have any CSI fans out there. Come ova to the MGM Grand & play the role of a crime scene investigator in interactive challenges. And here’s another tip for ya, you’ll be hanging out with real life forensic scientists.

A DAY IN TURKS AND CAICOS
Turks & Caicos has seven main islands within the country that are inhabited and about 40 smaller islands and cays that are uninhabited. Providenciales or Provo for short and Grand Turks are home to the majority of the country’s population with both islands hosting nearly all of the infrastructure and tourism.
Provo is one of the most developed islands within T & C covering about 38 miles and where most international flights arrive. Grand Turks the capital of Turks and Caicos is home to the luxury cruise ship center.
Provo is the most developed island in Turks and Caicos stretching 38 miles. It is here that you will find it’s airport, some of the best beaches, hotels, restaurants, spas and shopping and one of the best golf courses.
Grand Turk as stated above is the capital of beautiful Turks & Caicos and where cruise enthusiasts like myself will find ourselves as we arrive on this beautiful island. Grand Turk has the second largest population with around 3700 people calling this home. One of the main attractions as you will see is diving. Also, this is where you will find the largest Margaritaville.
Known as the Green Island North Caicos is known to be the lushest because of the rainfall it gets. The population is around 1400 people and about 12 miles north of Provo. North Caicos can be reached by plane or ferry as well as boat charters. There are various hotels, tours, restaurants and bars just for you. And if pink flamingos is your things then this is the place to see the largest flock.
Middle Caicos is the largest of the islands and is about 48 square miles of pure beauty and home to about 275 people. Middle Caicos is home to the largest cave network in the Bahamian Archipelago. It is here you will also find the ruins of the Haulover Plantation. When I started my researched I must say how amazed I was to find out about the horse shaped well with stairs running down it’s walls, or how about the trail that links Middle Caicos with North Caicos during low tide. Can you believe that you can actually walk between the two. You can get to Middle Caicos they same way you get to the North.
If fishing, bird life, history, fresh seafood or diving is your thing then welcome to South Caicos also known as the Big South. South Caicos is the fishing capital of the world. This is where most of the seafood is harvested for export and local merchants. It is also known that in 1966 Queen Elizabeth visited and stayed at the Commissioner’s house. South Caicos was also at one time known as the largest producer of salt. And, for my divers this is a divers heaven it is home to the marine research which is part of the renowned school for field studies.
I was surprised when I discovered that East Caicos even though it’s listed as one of the seven islands is one that is uninhabited considering is size of eighteen square miles. I also learned that there is a marvellous 17 mile beach that is used by sea turtles. Back in its hay day it was once home to the Sisal Plantation and cattle industry.
If you’re looking for a more quite and quaint town then Salt Cay is just the place. It’s only 2.5 square miles and about 80 inhabitants, it was once the center of the Bermudian Salt industry. Salt Cay is also known for great whale watching, bird watching and a divers paradise for all that live under the sea.
West Caicos like East Caicos is another island that is uninhabited however it is currently being developed as the future home of the world-famous Ritz Carlton.
The last of the islands are the Cays 4 to be exact and all offer something a little different. So, lets explore each one.
Pirate Cay now known as Parrot Cay was according to legend was named by the female pirate Anne Bonny in the 1700’s. This 1000 acre island is home to the super exclusive Parrot Cay Resort & Spa and enjoyed my movie stars. You know the one looking to get away from their crazy fans, lol. It has also been said that stars like Bruce Will have beachfront homes here.
Pine Cay was also uninhabited until around the 1970’s when the Meridian Club landed here. Most people who work come from the North & Middle Caicos. Pine Cay is another great private island hideaway.
Home to Turks & Caicos Sporting Club is Ambergris Cay, is an 1,100 –acre private residential island at the southeastern end of the Caicos Bank that has been under private ownership since 1811.
If iguanas are your thing then you should be hanging out in Little Water Cay. to get to Little Water as it’s just a kayak away or you can take one of the many day boat rides. A great half day adventure and the kiddos will love it.

I must admit that I had never heard of Santorini however what I did see were these great pictures of this beautiful place with white buildings and beautiful blue roofs and water that was unbelievable and I knew then I needed to find out where this was and that I wanted to visit.
So, because I’m a vacation ho yes I said it. I don’t like to travel, I have a love affair with travel I set out to do a little R & D (Research and Development) and added Santorini to my bucket list. What I discovered about Santorini also known as Thira is that it’s a circular group of volcanic islands in the Aegean Sea with about only 13,000 people that call this place home.
As I continued my research I also discovered that Santorini was formed due to a volacanic eruption. When the eruption happened the bay was formed and filled with water from the Aegean sea. Now legend has it that the continent of Atlantis was destroyed, the ancient city of Akrotiri was buried under the ash which caused the collapse of the Minoan civilization in Crete.
While I continued to search this great place I learned that there were seven towns and villages that make up Santorini and I will break them all down for you.
Hanging out in Santorini
Let’s start with Fira which is the capital of the island. If you want a great panorama view of the volacano and the sunset then this is your place. If the nightlife is what your looking for you in the right place at the right time. Turn up and get your party on.
Next on the list is the villiage of Pyrgos which use to be the capital of the islands until the early 1800s and also known as the prettiest place. The Venetian Castle which is located on the top of the hill is surrounded by traditional houses. This village also has many churches but is not yet a tourist attraction.
If your looking for Santorini of the previous century with traditional architecture still intact then welcome to the village of Karterados which is just south of Fira.
Next on the list is the biggest village of all….welcome to Emporio. Here you will find one of the oldest churches Palia Panagia which is known for it’s wooden dome on it’s bell tower. You will find a quite village here with just a few shops and taverns.
Next on the list is the village of Akrotiri located on the most remote part of the island. You will find many hotels and taverns here and the view of the Caldera.
If architecture is your thing then check out the small village of Messaria. Here you will be surrounded by gardens and vineyards, the Argiros Mansion built in 1880 and the churches of Metamorphosis of Sotriros and Agia Irini built between 1680 and 1700
And last but not least welcome to the village of Megaloxori which is located between Pyrgos, Emporio and Akrotiri. Here you will find white painted houses, churches and cobblestone narrow pathways.
All I can say is Wow…..what are your thoughts so far? As if this wasn’t enough you can lay out on one of the seven beaches here in Santorini.
Perissa Beach is one of the most popular beaches on the island with it’s black lava sand, clear blue sea and many water sports facilities. Seafront taverns, hotels, camping facilities and many more meet everyone’s needs.
Kamari Beach stretches over five miles and is another beautiful black sandy beach with taverns, restaurants, hotels and other great tourist and entertainment spots for hanging out.
Monolithos Beach is one of the quiter beaches offering food and snacks.
Red Beach is surrounded by red lava cliffs with black sany shores and close to the ancient sites of Akortiri.
Perivolos Beach is a great place for childern with it’s shallow waters. It’s another quiet beach with taverns, great places to stay and sport facilities for all your water babies.
Vilhada Beach is a great place if you want to avoid the large crowds of people.
Oia Beach is a two for one deal with Ammoudi beach located directly below Armeni which is a bit futher out.
Whew, can you say I had fun after my 2 week vacation, LOL! I hope you enjoyed

If your anything like me and you love to travel one of the biggest expenses we incur is airfare. I’m sure your always looking for a way of getting the cheapest flights around. So, in today’s blog I would love to share with my reading audience
9 Tips To Getting The Cheapest Flights
What’s up bloggers and bloggetts, it’s your favorite blogger, entrepreneur and world traveler, LOL! with another blog for your reading pleasure. As I stated earlier airline flights can be one of the most expensive things needed when we’re ready to embark on our super fantabulous travel extravaganza. So, today I thought I would share
9 Tips To Getting The Cheapest Flights
SIGN UP FOR FARE ALERTS: There are several sites out on the world-wide web that will allow you to set alerts letting you know when that flight you’ve been searching has dropped in price.
BOOK IN ADVANCE: This is another area where you can find great savings. Did you know that if you book domestic flights eight weeks in advance or international at 24 weeks in advance the price can drop dramatically.
TRAVEL AT OFF-PEAK HOURS AND DAYS: Have you every heard you can get cheaper flights on Wednesdays, how about you can find better deals around 2am. Well, some of this is very true. Some of the best days to book are Tuesday while one of the worst days is Friday. And if your still in need of more, one of the worst days to depart is Sunday but the best day is Wednesday and last but not least the best day to return is Tuesday/Wednesday but the worst day Sunday.
CHECK OUT THE BAGGAGE RESTRICTIONS BEFORE YOU LEAVE: Can I just say that the airlines are just cray cray when it comes to baggage fees sooooooo please check this out on their website to see exactly what their restrictions are.
FLY FROM AN ALTERNATE AIRPORT IF POSSIBLE: As I typed this one I’m a little hesitant and I tell you why. Yes, leaving from an alternate airport could be cheaper however when you think about how you’ll get there. Ex: gas, money for a car/taxi and remember this will be round trip is it really feasible to leave from an alternate airport. I will definitely leave this up to you.
BE FLEXIBLE WITH YOUR DESTINATION IF YOU CAN: Now, I’m sure you saying Shawne what the hell are you talking about. How can I be flexible with my dates. This only applies if your just planning a weekend getaway. Maybe you thought about going to the Bahamas but you came across an amazing deal to Cancun so you decided to check Cancun out instead.
BE LOYAL TO ONE AIRLINE: Do you have the favorite airline that actually gives you the whole can of soda and not just a cup. Maybe they offer free wi-fi or how about all the latest movies. Whatever the case when you loyal you can rack up miles to be used on future trips. Some of the perks are great. So, fly your fav airline often if you can.
THE 24HR BOOKING RULE: Now don’t let this one pass you by and remember this only applies to flights booked from the U.S.. Did you know that you can hold your reservation without payment, or cancel a booking without penalty, for 24 hours after the reservation is made, if they make the reservation one week or more prior to a flight’s departure date.
What does this mean for you, if a fare drops, you can cancel and rebook the fare at the cheaper price, so it’s worth checking prices again with 24 hours of booking. After that, there will be a fee to change your ticket in most cases.
RESEARCH HOW YOU’LL GET TO THE AIRPORT:Research how you’ll get to the airport before leaving. Will you take a car, public transportation, will someone drop you off, will you take a cab.
Well there you have it folks
