5 Tips for Building Engagement
What’s up bloggers and bloggetts, it’s your girl you know who with another you know what for your reading pleasure.
Question..Do you have over 1000 friends on Facebook but when you post you hear crickets?
I know I did but I discovered one major problem and it had nothing to do with me. You wouldn’t believe who the culprit was. Are you ready…..FACEBOOK. Yep, Facebook. Because of it’s algorthims Facebook will have your post all jacked up. Only a select few actually see what you post.
The second issue I discovered was only posting once or twice but not providing any real value to the marketplace. Sharing fight video’s may get you a lot of engagement but are these the people you want to do business with? Just a little something to think about.
As entreprenuers we understand the importance of building our brand. We understand the Know, Like and Trust factor concept and providing value to the makret place is how we do it however the one thing we need is an audience that is engaged and participates.
So, now that we understand the problem let’s talk about the solution.
In today’s blog, I expose 5 simple things you can do. Some will be simple and others might require you to be a little vulnerable but it will help you start to build up that engagement on your post.
Secret Sauce #1
Your first day will be super simple. Ask a simple question that requires a simple answer.
Ex: Do you like coffee or tea? Your favorite color? Do you have sibilings?
I think you get the idea. Now as people start to engage don’t go into the witness proctection program. Like their response, find a cool sticker, post a comment. Let them know your there.
Secret Sauce #2
Be a little vulnerable. Today you want to create a long post and share something you’ve struggled with but have overcome. It can be business or personal. It is totally up to you. By doing this you are letting people in on who you are and how you could possibly help them. Note: Space out your words (have a little white space)
Secret Sauce #3
You want to offer your friends something and give a call to action or (CTA). Maybe you have a free PDF, an ebook, etc however you want to pose it in a way that requires them to comment and you want to be a specific as possible so that you can inbox them and start to build rapport. Ex: If I could show you how to lose 7lbs in 7 days would you like a sneak peek? Comment 7lbs below or If I could show you how to create amazing graphics for FREE would you like the blueprint. Comment YES.
I hope that makes sense
Secret Sauce #4
Share, Share and Share. Share a few tips that your audience might be looking for. Ex: 3 Tips to help your flowers grow, 3 ways to lose weight, 5 ways to build engagement (hint, hint)
Secret Sauce #5
Here’s another post that might require you to share a little about you. Snap a few pics behind the scenes of your working. Believe it or not people can be a little nosey. Take that photo of your computer, etc. or shoot a video like I did talking about what I do outside the office like going to water aerobics.
Well there you have it my friends 5 ways to gain engagement on social media. These are not the only things you can do and it may not work your first go round but trust me keep doing it and tweeking and see your engagement skyrocket.
I hope you got some value from today’s post. If you did could I ask a huge favor of you. Could you Like, Share and most importantly comment.
Wishing you all Peace, Blessings and Prosperity.
